Water Play - 12months old

Zo Ee at 12months 2weeks old. (25/4/2009)

We had an unplanned visit to Bugis last Saturday, after visiting the Singapore National library nearby. Immediately, I thought it would be great to let Zo Ee has some fun at the fountain there as I always love the sights of kids having fun and getting all wet at this creative and kid’s friendly water fountain in Bugis. The water squirting unpredictably and unexpectedly from the many ground holes, and this surprises the kids in play and get them all wet. Timing and water strength also varies, so this adds more fun to it. Whenever they chase after the squirting water, water disappears before squirting from somewhere else or just behind them. Or all holes squirt waters and all kids get wet. And during the peak of the fun, the fountain may stops squirting totally and left the kids wondering…why no more squirting? Moment later, it may start squirting again. Surprise! Gotcha! Surprise! Surprise! So it’s endless surprise all the time.

When Zo Ee showed interest (dragging me towards it), we changed her into a singlet and let her joined in the fun. At first, she was all excited moving towards the center of the fountain, then retreated a little when she got wet, staying put while observing others at play. Few seconds later, she was all out again into the squirting water. When she got wet, she retreated again before trying her luck into the squirting water again. She was indecisively in out in out of the fountain area. She must be wondering what is this frightening yet fun "thing" ?

This is so fun! Mummy! Don't hold me back, let me join them!

And finally little Zo Ee is all wet!
