Zo Ee will read these words:
....................................................................
apple, people, purple as "ple"
basket as " ba"
apple, people, purple as "ple"
basket as " ba"
blanket, bus as "baa"
bread as "ber"
hat, hand as "haa"
pen, pencil as "pen"
bread as "ber"
hat, hand as "haa"
pen, pencil as "pen"
Though it is not recommended to test your child( Glenn Doman teaching), I couldn't resist myself today from asking her a few new words (cricket, cicada, greenfly, kingfisher, bluejay, fly, yogurt and candles) that she has never seen/read before. Zo Ee took some time to seach through the page and got them all correct by pointing at the tiny prints on the book. This is amazing, isn't it?
-cricket, cicada, greenfly are insects, kingfisher and bluejay are birds) , fly (must have learn from the word butterfly)
I got all excited, immediately grabbed her nursery rhyme book and flipped through the pages while asking Zo Ee some of the nursery rhymes' tittles;
Where is Little Boy Blue?
Where is Little Miss Muffet?
Where is Jack and Jill?
Where is Humpty Dumpty?
Where is Hey, diddle diddle?
Where is Incy Wincy Spider?
Again, she surprised me by pointing at all the correct titles asked, and not at the pictures or elsewhere. "Gosh, she is indeed reading short sentences!!! "
