Lobster - 2years 10months old

Zo Ee at 2years 10months old. (16/2/2011)

We went for a seafood BBQ and Zo Ee had her first lobster treat... Yum! yum! She was so excited seeing the big lobster and the way it was being grilled at the BBQ pit by the chef. After a yummy dinner, Mummy asked, "Which is Zo Ee's favourite?" Without any hesitation, Zo Ee replied " Lobster! and Jumbo Prawns! "

Zo Ee saw this on the TV, set this up herself to make some music. Look carefully at the water level in each glasses; she understood that in order to make different sound, she had to fill it up with different amount of water. Amazingly, she even mentioned to us that she is making different tune.

Swimming in the sea - 2years 10months old

Zo Ee at 2years 10months old. (2/12/2011)

For the very first time, Zo Ee was enjoying herself in the sea.

Although we have been living in Goa for almost a year, Zo Ee never like to swim in the sea. Only once she played(splashed) at the very shallow water. Last weekend, we a had a last minute trip to Palolem Beach with a friend and his wife. And thus far, this is Mummy's best experience of Goa. Even little Zo Ee was telling us that she likes South Goa(Palolem Beach).

Daddy's friend, Mr. U is Zo Ee's favourite uncle. Zo Ee has been always telling us that Uncle U is very funny. Uncle U insisted to take Zo Ee for a swim, but deep down inside Mummy's and Daddy's mind, we knew that little Zo Ee will not want to swim in the sea water. But we were wrong. Uncle U didn't have any hassle in asking Zo Ee to join him in the water. Zo Ee paused for a little while but almost immediately joined Uncle U. Within minutes, both of them were jumping and diving into the water, jumping over the waves, blowing bubbles and doing all sorts of funny acts. Zo Ee was not afraid that her head went underwater, and she even commented that the water was very salty.

An English old couple walked up to us, asking us about Zo Ee'age. Both of them were so delighted and happy to see Zo Ee playing happily in the water. They told us that they saw Zo Ee playing in the water from the moment she first stepped into it until now. They praised her that she's such a brave girl, being so confident in the water for a first timer. They even told us that little Zo Ee will turn out to be a very good swimmer. : )

In fact, she imitates everything Uncle U asked her to do. Uncle U is sure a very sporting man, he will demonstrate every act for Zo Ee to copy. Zo Ee loves the water so much that she didn't want to leave the water and kept telling us that she wants to swim in the sea water. Nevertheless, her best friend for the weekend is Uncle U. Little Zo Ee was already asking where is Uncle U the moment she woke up the next morning at 7am. She had another swim with Uncle U and Daddy before we leave for home.

What Zo Ee has been reading? - 2years 9months

Zo Ee at 2years 9months old. (7/2/2011)

Pregnancy
Where is yee mah's baby? To answer her question Mummy showed her the pregnancy book; and she spent a few days of last week browsing through this book again and again, examining the growing fetus; week by week until delivery. Now she understands that she was once growing inside Mummy's tummy and every little/very young baby has to grow inside their mother's tummy until they are fit to be born.

Pain Messengers
Little Zo Ee patiently waited for Mummy (30minutes) and kept asking Mummy to read to her, "Mummy, please read to Zo Ee...." When Mummy asked her to read to herself since most of the time, she can read by herself as Mummy has been very sick for the past days. This time she reluctant and replied, " Mummy please read to Zo Ee. Zo Ee cannot read." ( I guessed she cannot understand instead of cannot read), and also the printings were very small. So she persistently asking Mummy to read to her instead....
Initially, Mummy didn't have any idea what article that interest her so much and with her reading skill, she should be able to understand most children books. Surprisingly, below is the article that little Zo Ee has been persistently wanting Mummy to read to her; How Pain travels through the body.

When Mummy finally sat down to read, even Mummy was struggling to understanding, and was not able to explain details to Zo Ee immediately. Impatient Zo Ee was bombarding Mummy with so many questions and Mummy was puzzled and was trying to digest and making sense of the diagram and printings. Little Zo Ee looked for the same page again the following night, and was able to use the book content to find the similar page by herself. Again she asked Mummy to read to her the same diagram....this time round, Mummy could see a clearer picture of it and therefore managed to explain to little Zo Ee in a better perspective. Soon after Mummy's explaination , little Zo Ee immediately, explain the whole thing to Daddy. She just can't wait to share her precious new knowledge with Daddy.
Little Zo Ee was telling Mummy, " Mummy please read Messengers of pain, page 14. "

Playing Keyboard - 2years 9months old

Zo Ee at 2years 9months old. (2/1/2011)

Zo Ee self-taught, her very own "up above world so high." on the keyboard. She excitedly asked Mummy to see her in action playing GG FF EE D on her keyboard and proudly telling Mummy that she's playing Twinkle-Twinkle little star on her keyboard. So seeing the interested Zo Ee, Mummy showed her the whole song. Amazingly, she is able to play the entire song a week later and she is enjoying every moment of it. Since then, she has been playing it over and over again on her little keyboard.
