Communication - 15months old

Zo Ee at 15months 1week old. (20/7/2009)

Past few months, although little Zo Ee is able to say many words, most are nouns, adjectives and some verbs. And lately, I am noticing that my little Zo Ee's expressing her herself more with words and I’m excited and enjoying every moment of it.

Scene 1
When she sees something, especially food on the dining table that she wants, she will tell Mummy, “want! want! want!” while pointing at it impatiently. When Mummy asked little Zo Ee, “ what is it that you want?” If it is in a box, little Zo Ee will read aloud the written word on it, example, “Corn Flakes” or “Corn Pops” or etc. When Mummy asked her again, “Zo Ee wants corn flakes?” Sometimes, little Zo Ee will answer, “yah” (yes) or at other times, she will answer, “Corn Flakes” instead while nodding her head for yes. After Mummy had given her some, little Zo Ee will be happily eating them. Occasionally, little Zo Ee will tell Mummy, “yummy..yummy...” . Sometimes, Mummy will ask, “Do you like your corn flakes?” and little Zo Ee will definitely answered, “yah” (yes). Whenever she finished those on her bowl, little Zo Ee will ask for more, telling Mummy, “more! more! Corn flakes!” while pointing at the box on the table again. If Mummy gives her a lot, funny Zo Ee loves to say, “many” . And when she finished those on her bowl, occasionally she says "no more" or "finished" .

Scene 2
If she does sees Mummy drinking from the mug, she will say “Mug, cold” . And definitely she wanted to touch Mummy’s mug, telling Mummy, “touch! touch!” If Mummy allows her to touch it, she will be happily telling Mummy, “noopy” (Snoopy on the Mug), “black, white” . And now she knows that Snoopy is a dog and not a cow, as earlier she had misunderstood that the illustration on Mummy’s mug was a cow, and used to tell Mummy, “cow, moo…”
