What a mess! - 16months old

Zo Ee at 16months 3weeks old. (4/9/2009)

What a mess!!! This is the usual sight; left by Zo Ee after playing all by herself for two and half hours. Even little Zo Ee seems to realize that it is not safe to walk on a messy floor and thus she will be extra careful when doing so or crawling to get herself out of there or calling Mummy to her aid, "Mummy carry" .

Why the mess? Mummy noticed that little Zo Ee is venturing into swapping her toys' containers. She will empty those blocks from a container before putting other blocks (from another toy container/toy box) into it. And for the word cards, she loves reading them but is still having difficulty in keeping them orderly while she reads. Of course Mummy is in the process of coaching her how to put them neatly aside as she reads, but she is only complying occasionally when reading with me while saying, "put here. put over here" . Unfortunately, most of the time, little Zo Ee has little patient but to speed read through the cards, thus throwing them on the floor once she was done.
Update on her flashcards:
All her flashcards have been retired 4-months ago since she recognized them inside out. But occasionally, little Zo Ee still wants to browse through them herself. And when she did that, Mummy overheard and realized that she is able to read aloud all the cards by herself except some 3-syllables words. So this means, the ability of her reading skill was limited by her pronunciation skill. Once her pronunciation skill improved, she is able to read aloud and use them in her daily speech. That's why most books mentioned that most babies can understand language long before they are able to speak it themselves.
