Letter O - 3years 6months old

Zo Ee at 3years 6months old. (17th October 2011)

Drawings for letter "O" - Octopus, Ostrich, owl, otter and Oman (a country we visited last November). I particularly like the owl's feathers - she mixed brown and grey to make its texture.

Proud of her latest drawing for school, just before the long Diwali vacation

Aeroplane - 3years 2months old

Zo Ee at 3years 2months old. (19/June/2011)

Anticipating to our coming Australia trip, Zo Ee drew an aeroplane for the first time, an aeroplane awaiting boarding passengers with stairs at both doors, and wheels. She did mention this thing on top of the aeroplane which i have no idea what it is. It looks exactly like those awaiting planes at the Goa domestic airport. I am suspecting that she actually draws from picture captured inside her head; mental picture? The last time she was in an airport was 6months ago.

Chinese Songs - 3year old

Zo Ee at 3 year old. (26/4/2011)

Song 1 (chorus and repeat not included)

Song 2 (chorus and repeat not included)

As said earlier, little Zo Ee could sing 70-90% of 7 Chinese New Year songs after about 1 month with the DVD, that was 3 months ago (end of January 2011). Mummy has been asking Daddy to copy the lyrics for her so that she can learn the Chinese words in those songs. Due to Daddy slow response, finally the first two songs was copied for Zo Ee today (above). When Daddy read them out to her, with the intention to teach her those characters, only to find out that little Zo Ee could read them well already. Since she was singing and reading them so fast, we tested her again and again, and it's confirmed that she really reads them. We pointed out to a phrase and she could read them out correctly. So Daddy's effort is too late. Little Zo Ee has learned them from the DVD itself. Again, she hardly watched this DVD after Chinese New Year, so she must have know them then too. Daddy's surprised and commented, "Amazing child!"

Palolem Beach Again - 3 year old

Zo Ee at 3 year old. (16/4/2011)

We headed to the South of Goa, to Palolem Beach again. We wanted to enjoy the beach one more time before the expecting Monsoon in May/June. Little Zo Ee was as excited as before, seeing us packing for the trip. In fact, she wanted to leave that night itself and was refusing to go to bed.

She behaved well in the car for the whole 1 1/2 hour journey, keeping herself busy with food and books. She was quiet throughout, and suddenly, she exclaimed "We are there!!! We are at Palolem. " Daddy was amazed she could recognize the place, we were about 200m away from the beach and was passing by those little stalls along the road side. Daddy asked her, "Do you remember this place?" Little Zo Ee replied, "Yes. I remembered." This is our second trip to Palolem and was 2 month apart from the first. ; )

This time, we stayed in a cottage house instead of a hut, a different experience for her. She fell in-love with the sea even more this time. She was extremely brave, was not crying even hit by the big waves. In fact, she loved being crashed by the big waves. She was having so much fun and Mummy had a hard time getting her out of the water. She just refused to move and was laughing out loud after each hit by a waves. Some waves were so huge, almost knocked her down and she found it fun! She also collected some seashells, increasing her already existing collection.

We had a wonderful BBQ dinner, a treat from our friend by the beach. Since it was almost full moon, it was hide tide that night. And occasionally, a huge wave will wash up ashore, and water were at our feet while we were having dinner. What an experience!!! We had some Thai food for lunch the next day and spend time leisurely by the beach until we headed home at 5pm.

Zo Ee says...2years 11months old

Zo Ee at 2years 11months old. (22/3/2011)

Zo Ee said, "Daddy cannot go to the ladies(toilet). Daddy goes to the Gent. Magician can turn Daddy into a lady, then Daddy can go to the Ladies."

When Mummy told her that she will be getting 99 volumes of books, she replied, "99 is a lot. 100 is also a lot."

When Mummy told her about going to a new school this coming June, she replied, "Madam Nirmala was giving a speech on the stage at Sharada Mandir School." Mummy was amazed that she actually remembered the headmistress's name who gave a speech on that day, which happened more than 2 months ago.

Zo Ee was telling Mummy, "Mum! Mum! R( a boy) was very naughty. He destroyed the blocks and house(toy). Aunty was very sad. Aunty was crying and saying, "Oh No! you destroyed my house." Mummy asked, "Which Aunty?" Zo Ee replied, "The aunty in G's house at Hyatt." Mummy replied, "Was it aunty N?" Zo Ee said, "No. Another aunty." Mummy, "How do you know that aunty was sad?" Zo Ee replied, "Tears running down her face." oohh??? and this whole incident happened more than 3 months ago.
